Can anyone really believe that we are exactly four months away from Christmas? It may sound cliche, but I truly understand the meaning "time flies."
I feel very accomplished and grateful for what I've been given this year. In this horrendous period of economic strife, my husband and I not only have managed to keep our jobs but have been able to get married and buy a home.
I know the weak economy has left many with much less than what they had before. Jobs have been lost, homes have been foreclosed upon, there has been much strife.
...but I urge you - have faith! There are opportunities out there, but they won't just drop in your lap. Great rewards can be found when you are willing to put in the dedication, time and effort.
Pay attention to those around you - listen closely and participate...form strong network bonds and friendships. Each person who's been brought into your life is there for a purpose-- many of whom will help build you up when you're down, many of whom you will help build up when they are down.
In the economic downturn our society has witnessed, let us not forget humble truths of humanity and practice kindness towards one another. We're all struggling, in one way or another.
